Victorinox One Handed Trekker: Fast Track to the Outdoors
For many outdoor excursions many will find the Victorinox Trekker ideal in its capabilities. Featuring a 4.4 stainless pen shaped blade, the Trekker is a competent camp companion. The Trekker shown is a veteran to several Nutnfancy adventures and has proven itself well. It is an able skinner as well as an ideal food preparation blade. Add in a solid locking liner for the main blade and large flat blade driver, 3mm small flat blade, a Phillips driver, can opener, awl/reamer, useful wood saw, lanyard ring, tweezers, and a toothpick. Few downsides sully the excellent reputation of the Trekker: maybe the flexing reamer under hard use may pinch fingers, somewhat soft steel (but easy to re-sharpen!), lack of a pocket clip, and a 4.6 oz weight. New versions of the Trekker include the One Handed and German Army Trekker, shown here in the video update. Both feature an oval deployment hole and forward serrated blade (might be tough to sharpen). The Trekker carries well in sheath and is quick to action if outfitted with a lanyard my own design shown). There might be a few lighter options out there for pure blade usage but few will match the versatility of its tool selection while still possessing its large blade. Add in a very reasonable price, and every outdoor adventurer should probably be in possession of their very own Trekker for hand me down purposes. A highly recommended utility/camp/EDC blade. /////////////Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 9 of 10 (Standard model), One handed ...
